I had a look around at some other review sites to get a feel for what customers were saying about BoyleSports and you get a theme from players who have generally lost out on something, so take to a review site to complain. BoyleSports' football section is pretty impressive. There's so much to choose from, but it's all very well organised into the type of format that suits a football betting fan.

I found the BoyleSports bet builder to be a little cluttered. I think the design could be simplified and stripped back more for mobile display. There's a lot going on and it seems they're trying to show EVERYTHING off in one viewport. The trend is for more streamlined bet builders with less on show, giving you more thinking space in what is quite a dynamic betting style.

There were no prices on selections either, so if you like to get a feel for value from the price, then the BoyleSports bet builder could be viewed as a little frustrating to use in that sense. 

It definitely felt a little slow and laggy. Whilst there was an absolute abundance of markets to bet on, putting it up with the best operators in the field, it lacks the polish that some of the top sportsbooks have and I was left a little frustrated with the user interface and experience.

If you can look past the laggy loading and distracting layout, they do have a Bet Builder offer on to enhance your bet builder experience.

BoyleSports Sportsbook Review: In Play & Live Betting

BoyleSports live betting offering is really strong. We mentioned earlier how well-organised the football section is. As you dive into the tabs, you can see the in-play section is given top billing in the "Highlights" section which showcases the best betting of the day, but also the best in play. 

I like how the in-play tab includes a sub-section dedicated to specific betting markets. So if you want to put an acca together on in-play games to be BTTS for example, there's a tab that organised those live fixtures. You can bet on next goal, goals over/under or just see all the top in-play fixtures and dig into each and see the available markets.

When you click into a live fixture you're met with a huge virtual graphic display which was properly slow. It felt like there was far too much going on, it actually took a while to load which is the very opposite of what in-play betting is supposed to be about. There however lots of available markets and they were once again really well laid out and easy to navigate. 

BoyleSports Sportsbook Review: Accas & Coupons

Accas are super easy to compile on BoyleSports, the football section has evidently been built with accumulators in mind and they have acca promotions that suggest they see these types of bets as something they want to reward - so the site has been well laid out for those who like accas.

It can be laggy however when you load up a page and you're presented with almost every available betting market per competition. The "Match betting" section which includes a long list of in-play games and up and coming competitions can take a short while to load.

What can ease that frustration though are the betting market tabs that limit selections to the same category, simplifying the accumulator process. Hit BTTS and you get only both teams to score bets, then there's things goals over, BTTS + Match Result and more. All very smooth and easy to access.

There's a Top Coupons section which is a little deceiving. I thought this would highlight the most common coupon markets, but it actually filters out the most popular games, and then you can use that selection process to dig down into the markets.

Cashout is pretty standard on BoyleSports, but in stark contrast to other betting sites, they have a section dedicated to the popular betting feature.

Whereas some other sportsbooks showcase the cashout as part of the bet slip set-up, BoyleSports cashout has its own area where you can see any cashout bets you have available but where you can read up on any FAQs you might have related to their cashout system.

The cashout FAQs section is simple, but really open and informative - a nice touch from Boylesports! 

If you're interested in free stuff, Boylesports is one of the few decent betting sites with free daily games on offer in the form of a fantasy sports 5 aside pick'em. Now the odds of you winning real cash are very low, but someone has to win, so in my view, games like this are worth a go just for fun. You're only risking your time if you keep it to a minimum and only play the one game on offer.

BoyleSports weren't the most competitive on their odds across a selection of top football fixtures. Out of 25 bookies they fell into the bottom 25% for odds. The differences aren't huge, we're talking pennies in the pound, but if scaled it could be quite the difference. 

BoyleSports are best odds guaranteed on racing though, which not all bookies offer and as mentioned before there are lots of enhanced specials on BoyleSports where odds are boosted on certain bets. So they're not the absolute best for odds, but they make up for that in promotions in my opinion.

The virtual betting on BoyleSports is a little tame, but I'm OK with that. It's there for those who might want a dabble, but there isn't a huge selection of categories, just traditional Horses, Grey Hounds and Football virtuals. In the interests of responsible betting, I'm very much a fan of those who don't go all in on virtual betting offering a tonne of different sports that are all digitally determined. 

It pretty much mirrors the racing and football virtuals that were prominent in betting shops for years, which BoyleSports has historical ties with. BoyleSports doesn't make a big deal over it, it's not plastered on the main navigation like some bookies do, so I'm OK with the use of virtual betting at this low-key level. 

Does BoyleSports Have Free To Play Games?

BoyleSports has a pretty cool Fantasy 5 free-to-play prediction game. Pick five players from five games. If they all score more than their fantasy points target, you win a prize. Its a nice to have that I've never got close to winning, but as free-to-play games go it's a fun fantasy game that has the potential of winning some cash - so why not!

How to play. Select 5 players in the live Fantasy5 round. Once all five players have been selected your team will be entered for the round. You are able to change your selections up until the first kick-off.

Is BoyleSports Good For Begginers?

There are some pros and cons in the assessment of BoyleSports' suitability for beginners. In terms of promotions, they're super rewarding and do well in lots of areas that beginners would find useful like the presentation of betting markets in tabs and the promotions for Bet Builders and Accas which are popular among modern punters.

I think in contrast the volume of content could be somewhat overwhelming for a brand new bettor, so for that reason, I would put BoyleSports in the mid-level to advanced sportsbooks category.

BoyleSports does have an app and it's accessible on both Android and Apple. It pretty much mirrors what I've experienced on the mobile responsive website it can be a little laggy as there's a lot on display and that can be a little disruptive.

While the app and mobile layout are somewhat well organised, the sheer amount of content is what actually makes it a little difficult to navigate on such a small display. 

The mobile reviews on various app stores seemed to echo that sentiment with complaints of slow-loading content and touch points not responding instantly to users' interactions.

Personally with news sites like this, I would suggest sticking with your preferred mobile browser like Safari or Chrome, if your Wi-Fi is strong enough you should get as good a mobile experience as any other sportsbook.

The design and usability of the BoyleSports sportsbook are somewhat contentious. There's a lot happening, making it one of the most comprehensive and plentiful betting sites, in my opinion. However, this can lead to lags and glitches due to the slow loading of the vast amount of content.

It looks great – very modern and clean. There's just a lot to take in, so if you're new to the site, it might be considered a bit overwhelming.

They do try to organise content into distinct sections and segments. This makes it straightforward to navigate through the clearly defined betting categories and find what you need. Nonetheless, I believe they could reduce the initial volume of content presented to visitors.

It appears that BoyleSports understandably wants to showcase as much of their product as possible to punters who visit the site. I personally believe this could be pared back slightly.
