10bet is not in what I would call the big six UK bookies. They're relatively unknown among the regular punter, so are quite low-key in terms of their operation. All British Sports is a really slick betting site. It's a fairly new sportsbook that's recently come into play as of December 2022. It’s a little green but seems promising given its roots.

If you're into online casino games, you might have heard about All British Casino. They've been in the industry since 2013, primarily dealing with casino punters. From what I've seen, they've got a decent range of betting products and gradually improving.

AK Bets is a popup betting site that is listed as part of Star Racing Ltd. It is common for betting companies to broaden their portfolios with more sites and apps, as they try and expand into different areas of the betting industry by offering slightly different platforms on slightly different tech.  By popup I mean it's a fairly low-tech offering that's been launched on a turnkey white-label gambling platform. 

Star Sports the company is the brainchild of Ben Keith a traditional British bookmaker gone digital. There's a growing portfolio of projects from a sports media business, high street bookies, and podcasts, to a selection of online sportsbooks and gaming sites like AK Bets. AK Bets while under the umbrella of the Star Sports group, is being run by the folks behind AK Bets. These guys are new and ambitious traditional trackside bookies, looking to take on the responsibility of running a supplementary digital sportsbook. 

Bet365 is one of the biggest betting companies in the world and probably the most well-known UK sportsbook. According to their about us page, bet365 have over 90 Million Customers worldwide and employ around 700 staff.

That means they're established as a brand leading us to believe they're secure, reliable and as long as you're a responsible punter they can be trusted with your bets. They're a transparent brand regularly posting their gender pay gap reports along with their licenses, tax reports and various company statements. They were founded by Denise Coates a successful British businesswoman who is the daughter of Stoke FC chairman Peter Coates - Thats an impressive sports business family!

In terms of their sports betting, they cover a massive amount of sports events (too many list here), they have a huge selection of betting markets and they always offer up decent deals. They're licensed and regulated in the UK which is one of the strictest licensing systems.

They're multi-award-winning taking home established EGR Awards For Best Mobile Sports Products along with IGB Awards for Bet Sports Operator. EGR has placed bet365 number 1 in its Top 50 Power Brands list for 10 consecutive years. 

Betfred is a classic British bookie, started in 1967 by two brothers Fred and Peter Done who set up their very first betting shop in Salford. They've expanded its operations to become one of the largest and most well-known bookmakers in the UK. It's a great sportsbook, there are a tonne different features and they offer pretty decent deals including a generous welcome offer.

They're a growing brand and have recently expanded into Africa & America, showing their ambitions lie beyond the UK betting market. These are quite heavily regulated markets, so to me, Betfred is demonstrating its commitment to integrity by strictly respecting the rules of licensed territories and not operating in unlicensed territories.

You might be surprised to discover that BetUK is owned by LeoVegas, whose parent company is the internationally renowned MGM Resorts. 

Though BetUK is a relatively newer UK betting site its rapid ascent is quite eye-catching and they're fast becoming a competitive player in the UK sports betting scene.

They're a progressive brand growing rapidly alongside their parent companies. This solid backing could be viewed as a mark of trust and credibility in an industry where reliability and financial stability are key attributes.

BetVictor is a historical British bookie, reliable as a sportsbook and a popular brand within the UK sports betting scene. They're not the most visible or the most attractive, but they've carved out a fanbase over the years and are operating securely with a loyal customer following.

Victor Chandler was originally founded by William Chandler in 1931, BetVictor boasts a rich history entwined with the Chandler family's legacy. They're fairly new and I guess you wouldn't put them in the same bracket as as some of the existing sports betting powerhouses, but they've got a big sports media footprint so are one to watch and not to be written off as another popup betting site.

SBK, established in 2019 by Smarkets, is a brand-new sportsbook, that provides a straightforward betting experience with the benefit of exchange prices, a lot like Betfair. So one of the key features of SBK is that it incorporates exchange-powered betting, from its sister site Smarkets. It was previously a mobile-only app, but they've got an all access sportsbook now.
