The total away cards per game under 3.5 per team, includes their's and their opponent's cards each game. Counting yellows, second yellows plus the red and straight reds
Away stats explained
On this page you'll find the stats for teams when they play away. The calculation still includes both teams in the fixture. But take Liverpool for example, this table shows the number of Liverpool away games that were over 3.5 cards combined.
Under 3.5 cards per game explained
This is a cards per game market and includes both playing teams in the calculation. There has to be no more than 3 cards in the game or it has lost and that doesn't matter if that's from both teams or just one team.
It's displayed as 3.5 because there has been some historical confusion over the interpretation because of other markets like 1 or more, which allows for an equals or greater than outcome. The under 3.5 market can not be mistaken in theory, we're not asking the punter to select an equal or under value, it's an under only value.
Card values for yellows and reds
There are two types of values when it comes to card betting. Some bookies use booking points for these types of markets, the principle still applies, you simple times the value by the points system in that case. But for this market most betting sites stick to a rule of thumb that a first yellow counts as 1 card and any type of red card (either second yellow or straight red) is counted as two cards.
How to bet on over 3.5 cards
Under 3.5 isn't normally an option in that exact format. Most sportsbooks normally have an over 3.5 cards market on the fixture betting page. It's a yes or no bet, you find the fixture you want to bet on, find the over 3.5 goals section and you click no to add the bet to your betting slip, which signifies that you think the game will not go over 3.5 cards. If you can't find the bet, it's likely that the bookie may not be be offering it. Failing that you can normally find it in the modern bet builder functionality for those betting sites that have that available.
A risky bet that can be over quickly
We're not a fan of those bets that can lose before 90mins, you're out of the running early and it can ruin accas. The problem with an under bet is that eary cards can mean its over fairly quickly for you. If you like to bet for fun whilst watching a days fixtures on sports TV, then we advise picking results that can still be in with a chance running up to the end of the match.
